New tyre

After Friday's little adventure, we had hoped to have a new tyre put on the car on Saturday morning, and assumed that at least one of the two local garages would be open then. Wrong! So MrM took the car down to the garage first thing today, only to discover that they didn't have a suitable tyre in stock, and they couldn't get one until mid-afternoon.

Plans for the day scuppered, and no chance of getting to our painting course in Alnwick this afternoon. Never mind - the car now has a new tyre, and the nuts on the other wheels have been loosened slightly so they're no longer impossible to remove should the need arise again. And the car is relatively clean, as we called in to the jet wash on the way back from the garage.
