Diary of an Edinburgher

Tricked

A gorgeous autumn day, though I was just out in the back garden to hang washing out. JR took Archie to Midmar Paddock, via the Duck Pond, which looked gorgeous in the sunshine.

Visitors coming tomorrow, so a wee bit of organising, but it's been a good excuse to get the spare room sorted. So sad that my bike is folded up and put away in the cupboard (not). Mind you, next week the room is being painted, so this all had to be done anyway. Thank goodness I’ve got a spare shed now for all the surplus STUFF.

In the afternoon we wandered down to the local gallery to see a new exhibition, but we kind of knew it was closed on Mondays... it was. As we walked past the Red Box cafe, Archie did his swifty (changing sides) and tugged JR past the door. But we caught him out on the way back and nipped in for a coffee. Oh, and a bit of date slice.

Watched parliament for a while - subtitles on, sound off - Bercow's voice is the most annoying noise I know. Apart from screechy pop songs while I'm having a meal in a restaurant, obvs.
