Fernwood Dock

Fernwood Dock
The Fernwood dock is located on the NE side of Saltspring Island. It extends 400 feet into Swanson channel. The pier is a long, narrow walk-on structure, located on an exposed shore and can be very rough.

Moorage at Fernwood
The small 44 foot float serves strictly as a transient dock with a 24 hour maximum for visiting boats. Generally, the dock is used for short stop overs by pleasure craft, and by commuters from nearby islands. There are no Services on the Dock.

Several years ago the Federal Government decided they no longer wanted to fund this dock and local government and local residents stepped up to fill the financial void.
