White breasted nuthatch .

I drove to the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge this morning and it was closed...I will be so happy when the bridge is completed and it is open every day again.  The day has been very rainy and windy so I set up on the lower deck to shoot hummingbirds and did get a few good shots, but decided to post this nuthatch as it has been one of my favorite birds since we moved in.  We didn't have them at the other house and the book says they are not common on this side of the mountain.  It rarely sits still long enough for me to get a clear shot.  I am surprised there is a reflection as it was pretty dark out today.

Husband will be home tonight from a visit to see his parents this weekend.
