Chanterelles

We visited one of the final Open Gardens, Low Fell West near Crosthwaite.
There’s some good trees and the colours are developing well. They are lucky to have CWT Barkbooth adjoining the gardens and we took Pepper and Billy for a walk through the woods, where to our delight we found a great patch of chanterelles!
I made a creamy pasta sauce with them, adding a little garlic and some crispy bacon bits. Excellent!
