River Almond

Got up early to check out the Grotto Bridge over the River Almond near Cammo Estate and Edinburgh Airport. It probably wasn't worth it getting up early although I did manage to get a nice photo of the Old Town during the blue hour (see extra) whilst waiting for the bus. The river was very full and not much of the rocks could be seen. Still it was good fun. I caught up with Rowan and Max in Cramond to walk across the causeway (see other extra) to check out the island. Low tide nicely fitted with our plans. We were dismayed to find out Cramond Inn no longer does food. Ah well, the cafe was very nice as well although chips were promised. We promptly missed the bus and checked out the remains of the Roman fortress whilst waiting for next bus.
