Diary of an Edinburgher

Hamish!

Two more rugby matches this morning. Well done Wales! But I was disappointed that Japan didn’t go further, but gosh, they did SO well. No time for my bike, as I spent all of the morning on the sofa, but JR did go to the gym, of course.

Annemique came to take Archie for a big walk up the hill and through the Hermitage (14,000 steps, she said).

In the afternoon I did a few jobs while JR popped out to the supermarket (she seems to go there a lot). I was out at the bin emptying the rubbish, when our neighbours came along with Hamish, the schnauzer - he's a Big Boy! Archie adores him - whenever we meet while out round the block, Archie has to be let go to run to him, yelping excitedly. He then pesters him relentlessly and tries to get his head on Hamish's back. Funnily enough, Hamish is endlessly patient and lets him do this, but apparently he doesn't stand for such behaviour from any other dogs he meets.

They came in for a cuppa, and Hamish, the big sook, clambered up into his dad's lap. But by this time, Archie had scarpered off as far away as he could because he ABSOLUTELY HATES the little BEEP that the milk frother makes... weird or what? He also HATES laughter on TV, and will leave the room. So we have to watch Have I Got News For You with the subtitles on.

Whit a dug!!
