AD 1788.....

I was waiting for Mrs BM today in Lower High Street and I just happened to notice the date that this church was built, 1788, and the brick work is still as good as the day it was laid. The mortar would have been lime mortar so it gets harder with age as it takes CO2 out the atmosphere and becomes very hard with age, hence no need to point up even after all these years.

Anyhow the reason I was waiting outside the car was that Mrs BM had taken the keys with her so I was left in the cold.
