A nostalgic day out

A nostalgic day out to the University of Manchester where I worked for 29 years.

We got there early and spent an hour wandering round many of the very familiar places. The main shot is of the old quadrangle, part of the original buildings where my office was situated.

As we had plenty of time we went into the University owned Manchester Museum for which amazingly the entry is still free.
My extra shows an old friend found in there.

We went down by train as we can go from Arnside station to Manchester without a change. It worked but we were lucky to get seats and the noise level of conversations must have been 110 decibels for an hour and a half.
