More celebration
We did feel at one point today that we were going the wrong way, in several senses, as we found ourselves in Victoria Tube Station heading in one direction, against a huge tide of EU supporters heading in the opposite direction towards the start of the protest march. We would have joined them, but it had to be only in spirit, as we were on our way to meet our daughter and son-in-law.
Another train journey later and we met up with our two on Wandsworth Common (see extra). We were all heading for Chez Bruce, a splendid Michelin Star restaurant that they wanted to take us to for a celebratory lunch. It was truly wonderful - super fine food, brilliant service and a lovely place to sit for several hours as the sun shone through the window. Such great company they are. And it was their treat, their generous gift to us. We feel blessed.
Our daughter took the photo of us - we can kid ourselves that 50 years has only seen a change in hair colour!!
Oh and some rugby was watched before we set out and apparently it’s all going well . . . so far.
