Selling Leaves

Welcome duty at Longshaw today. In addition to normal duties, we were selling these bronze leaves. 100 of them were made by a local artist who collected leaves from the ancient sessile oak woodland in Padley Gorge and used the lost wax technique to render them in bronze, then mounted them onto a cloak. She is giving the proceeds from donations for them to our Woodlands for the Future appeal. Today alone we raised over £250
