An ancient corner...

I went out with my 5 x 4 camera this afternoon to a place I had in mind for a photo... Just over the border in Essex is the Saxon church St Mary the Virgin. Tucked right out of the way on the corner of a farmyard, this is an amazing place to visit.

This corner of the churchyard breaks through into a old sunken way, thought to date back to Saxon times, that's the dip to the right of the grave. 

The extra is the medieval Priest's Door to the chancel.

I really am getting to love the way this camera renders scenes like these...
