Behind you.........

It was our usual Wednesday walk today and 27 of us set off from Haltwhistle. We walked by the Burn to Hadrian's Wall which was shrouded in mist for most of the day. By the time the sun broke through, the shadows were already long. We had a great time as usual.

Here is our leader plus one other. Those of us left behind, i.e. the rest of the party, did wonder if they realised that the walkers they set out with had been replaced by sheep! At this time of year the sheep assume that any humans are about to feed them.

I took the shot into the sun so it's not the best exposure. I just loved the image.

Our Botswana friends arrived to stay. They set off from Tongue on Monday and head for Cambridge tomorrow before returning to Botswana in February. We've had a good evening enjoying food and catching up.
