Newhaven Station

A short walk this afternoon took me past Newhaven Station. The station once serviced the Caledonian Line which passed through Leith and Granton and closed in 1962.

During Doors Open day this year we managed to get into this building to have a nosey about. Its currently being renovated into office space, which is a great way of keeping this little bit of history alive. On the other side of the building you can see where the tracks and platform would have been. Now looking around its hard to believe that once trains passed through here!
