Sunshine yaaaaaay!

I really am not a lover of winter unless on holiday and curled up by the wood burner with a good book. I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. No time outside and not easy to find a daily blip. My plan......

Just in case there are any doubts I LOVE MY JOB working with children with special needs and they are all truly amazing little people. However the adults can be somewhat challenging at
times ;-). As a middle manager towards the end of 2012 I realised just how little down time I get when in work. I can't remember the last time I took my half hour lunch break and even on the odd days I did it was half hour just filled with more questions! I decided that in 2013 I need to re-evaluate how I use my time and give a little thought to work/life balance. A good starting point I felt would be to take my lunch break and NOT work through it every day (unless one of our very special little people needed me and that would be different!). Today was such a sunny day so decided to escape confines of my room and go for a walk as far as 30 minutes would allow. Very soon I came upon this little fella happily chirping away in the glorious sunshine. There is something so beautiful about a Robin and the picture from my NOT state of the art camera is not too bad I don't think. I tried a second shot to get a little closer but was a little too close for comfort and with a flash of his gorgeous red breast he flew off into the welcoming blue sky.

How many blips do you think I can get from the same walking route Monday-Friday? We'll have to see.
