Persimmon

The persimmon fruit has a lovely sweet flavour. I remember when I visited my daughter-in-law's family in Japan they had a large tree with these fruits hanging heavily on all the branches in the garden. Her father gathered some and we all sat on little cushions on the floor enjoying the wonderful taste which was a new experience for me.
