Garden Montage

It's nice to be home and a nice start to the day having breakfast and taking pictures of the garden birds out the kitchen window.

From there though the day went a wee bit pear shaped. Katherine & Marion were meant to be coming over for coffee, but Katherine phoned - they'd got a mains water leak seeping through the concrete floor, they're awaiting the plumber can we go over to them instead. No problem, gathered a few bits & pieces together, needed to take my pc, switch it off. Windows chooses that point to install updates 1of 15 - don't turn off your computer. Half an hour later I'm phoning, we may be a wee bit late it's got to 10 of 15. Anyway 45 minutes late we set off.

Clunk, scrape - the car seems to be grounding a lot. Mrs L pulls over - the front offside tyre is distinctly flat. Drive home, take Youngshanks car instead, by now we're an hour late. Fortunately that was the end of the pear shape turn to the day. Good company, good Christmas Cake and pc stuff all passed on. So all's well that ends well as they say. Let's hope that holds true for Marion when the plumber returns tomorrow with the appropriate tool for cutting through the concrete floor.
