The Musgrave Monument Penrith.
I was in town this morning picking up some new glasses and dropping of a map we borrowed from the Library for our trip to Bristol. What a great idea Ordnance Survey maps on loan.
I realised it is very rarely I blip any form of street scene. So as I walked along past St Andrews Church Yard I took this shot of "The Clock". Well that is what it is generally known as, to give it its correct title it is The Musgrave Monument.
"The Clock" has stood in Market Square since 1861, it was erected by the town as a tribute to Sir George and Lady Musgrave, in memory of their eldest son.
