New carnivore
D had to get up really early to leave for Granton and the boat. I must admit that I went back to sleep after he'd gone.
He spotted this plant in the garden centre the other day, and we couldn' t resist a new carnivore to add to the collection. It's a butterwort (once saw a native variety on Cairngorm) - this one's Pinguicula grandiflora. Insects that inadvertently land on its leaves are stuck there - less dramatic than the Venus Fly-trap but seems effective judging by the number of tiny corpses that were already on it.
