Autumn

Looking at this scene was respite from listening to Brexit news, it was all very calm here.  I was reminded though that there used to be a small herd of deer behind the trees to the left in this photograph, but they had to be removed when Foot and Mouth disease began in Dumfries and Galloway in 2001.  I remember the smoke from the fires drifting across the town of Dumfries itself, it was a difficult time.
