The iMac to Go

Terrible picture I know...but this is one of my favourite things at work, and unfortunately it's tucked into the back corner of the museum and is almost entirely in the dark...

Its a 1976 Apple I computer... These were supplied as home build kits. You had to make the keyboard and put together the motherboard in your own hard case... only 200 were made and there are about 50 left in the world... As far as we know there's only 2 in the UK... and this one comes complete with the original operating manual...

I like the fact that the person who built it used an old briefcase, it's early thinking for laptops...

When this was made could they have even imagined iphones?
