The Water of Leith Flood Prevention work seems to have been going on for ages. Sometimes they must have been actually raising the water level, there was so much gravel and rocks getting piled in, washed away after heavy rain, then piled in again. This is from the bridge at Canonmills where the 'concrete camouflage' stage is well advanced.
