A night on the rails

The new sleeper train is super plush but its 21st century Spanish design rides erratically on Britain’s Victorian railway foundations. I was expecting a quieter night’s sleep but that was not to be. However I did get some sleep between Watford and Carstairs. I was pleased when the train arrived in Waverley ahead of schedule and without mishap! 7 minutes later I was walking down the road from the Tweedbank train to home exactly 24 hours after I set out yesterday!
