Eda in Mummy’s specs!
Another lovely blue sky day today.
Chris and I walked down Glos. Road to do a bit of shopping and to have a coffee at Boston Tea Party.
We bought a large ‘original’ sour dough loaf from Joe’s Bakery. It really is the best and as we have additional mouths to feed from tonight I’m sure it will help to feed us well. In the window was a dough depiction of the loaves and fishes.
Had to pop into my favourite local art and craft shop and loved the Mosaic in the window of the urban fox at the Arches at the bottom of Glos Road. There are prints of this ladies artwork and they mainly feature foxes as there are many in Bristol, but I did get Grace a card of a mermaid by the same artist.
At 12.30 we picked Eda up from Nursery, she was the only one not asleep (they go into a separate room now they are in toddlers.) This is due to a mix up over Grace’s timetable and they can’t change to full days on Wednesday till November!
She was happy to see us and after a drink, snack and two stories she went happily off for a nap but didn’t really sleep. She wanted Mummy and Daddy. Think she’s really missing Grace this week with the play. I had intended taking her to the park after but she wasn’t really very happy so we ended up watching Stickman, Room in a Broom and Postman Pat! Think she’s just really tired and it is difficult when I can’t always interpret exactly what she is asking for! Sometimes TV is just what’s needed.
Grace did come home briefly and Eda was very happy especially when she was allowed to wear Mummy’s glasses as here in the blip.
On the plus side she is much better than has been the case over the last two months when she has been definitely out of sorts with a cough and being sick more than is normal, she has her appetite back which is a joy to see.
Salmon for tea. She ate all hers, some on mine and some of Boppa’s, most of her sweetcorn and all her carrots, demanding more.
Chris is out at the show tonight doing front of house selling raffle tickets. I’m sure it will go well. Eda knows where Mummy is and has seen and enjoyed a rehearsal, she just says Mummy ‘rain’.
