Stubbed
Had a lovely wander around the new Stubbs exhibition in Milton Keynes with a couple of friends.
My favourite is still the famous Whistlejacket painting. It was interesting to see his other paintings and anatomical drawings, both of horses and of his engravings of babies in the womb. He spent a lot of time studying dissections. Although he did paint some portraits, I think his heart was always with animals. An added dimension to the exhibition was the horse skeleton! It’s so great to have such a show in MK.
