Bon voyage....

We’re through embarkation! Boarding cards given, and credit card details taken! No cash transactions on board. We’ll see our luggage again in our cabin. All colour coded and whisked away once we entered the port.

We drove to Bristol on M4 and 5 in torrential rain. Double speed wipers needed. We didn’t make our given embarkation time but it worked in our favour as most in our colour group had already boarded and all queues had disappeared. Our car is in the long stay car park.

The ship looks huge. 1100 passengers. It will be our home for the next 17 days.

My extra, lifeboat drill. Serious but much laughter.
