Sunset over fishing boats Waitangi Chatham Island

Arrived on Chatham Island by Convair 580 plane late this afternoon. Lovely evening. Chatham Island is part of a big island group called the Chatham Islands off the coast of New Zealand, about a 2 hour plane flight. Known for their isolation in the past, and even today they are really only just being discovered by tourists who enjoy outdoor activities.In the  past of the islands there have been very dark times, but now things are moving in a positive direction.

We are here for a week - the plane flies in and out once a week - with the Nature Photography Club
