Fallen Leaves

These golden leaves spread out as they have fallen on my lawn are from a big old Silver Maple tree. The gold leaves on the shrub are witch hazel.
Very likely I am going to leave the leaves there all winter to nourish the worms and the soil.
It is likely my neighbour will not be mowing my lawn any more this year. Or perhaps the next either. She is still cutting down trees.
We are seeing a beautiful autumn in the surrounding hill right now. I think the colours have reached their peak.
