Choosing a gift

We went into town this morning. I had routine blood tests and renewed my driver's licence. Once again I look like a criminal in the photo for the licence. Can't wear my glasses, can't smile in these "official" photos. 
This neighbour lives down the road and I've given her and her daughter a ride quite a few times. She was buying a gift for her MiL. Lots of bright choices on offer, and she finally settled on these. 
It's pouring rain and the forecast says we'll have heavy rain for the next few days. Fine with me!
