Seasonal Fun

These were part of the scarecrows being put up for Halloween around the town common.  Families and organizations make quite a display each year and anyone can vote on their favorite.  

Today was another banner day - even though the temperature never reached 60F, the sun was warm and the sky was blue.  Na'iema and I took a walk around the village; the playground, the softball field, the gazebo, the river and the General Store.  She loved being out as evidenced by her screams as we walked - they're really more of shouts of joy but they are saying "Hey, look at me, I'm having fun".  We even stopped by the local farm to see the goats.  She literally fell asleep while eating her lunch!  Unfortunately, we're having some new windows installed so she didn't get to sleep as long as she normally would.  

We were treated to a very slow Monarch sipping on some low flowers yesterday, but I forgot the pictures were on my phone, so you'll find one in Extras.
