Autumn colour in miniature
A grey cool day that threatened rain but didn't.
Early morning walk with Fletch who was delighted with all the new smells . The trees are looking magnificent but there is not many with Autumn tints.
After breakfast we went up to Stump wood and had at good walk... again the trees are still in their summer colours.
Then on to Greenwoods bonsai and finally some stunning Autumn colours on the maples. I loved this group which I took with my phone. Clicked away with my camera too but the battery needs recharging so will have a look at those photos later
After a good wander and plenty of bonsai chat we made a few purchases which we will collect on our way home on Thursday.
Next we went to Newstead Abbey. Very quiet there but it did still look like it was about to rain and it was nice to have the place almost to ourselves.
A nice stroll down to the Japanese Gardens and more photos as some of the trees were looking stunning, bright reds and golden yellows. Autumn colour!
There were quite a few peacocks strutting about.. but no tail display. There were also quite a lot of squirrels.. only the grey ones. After the first one Fletch saw .. and chased .. he remained on his long lead..
Feeling quite tired but I'm not one for napping during the day.. and Fletch will need a short walk before we leave him to snooze while we go and eat.
I'm hoping it won't rain this evening but there's a good chance it may. Last night after a very nice meal and a very acceptable bottle of red we then had to get macs and wellies on to take Fletch out ... Boy was it wet!
