‘Allo Chéries!!

The girls were all in a tizz today with a lot of squawking, clucking and flustered looks. We tried to understand why, then this chap appeared from under one of our bushes, following a very worried brown chicken. She joined the others and he set of in chase. It reminded us of the old cartoon of Pépé le Pew as he pursued the innocent female skunk. It must be something in the French genes. He ran after them all around the garden and was last seen in the chicken run eating the corn we had put down for the girls, who were all hiding in the coop. The pheasants have been released for the hunt and are still mostly tame. He is obviously looking for a flock and our brown chickens are similar enough to confuse him.
