White Ibis

The White Ibis birds are quite plentiful in my area. I love to watch their feeding behaviors. If they are in shallow water, they sweep their bill from side to side probing at the bottom. Sometimes I will see them in large flocks probing in the grass in people’s lawns . They also love handouts. They are very friendly birds when you have bread in your hand! I have also seen them stealing food each other. This Ibis was right next to my car thus morning. When I did not feed him, he quickly lost interest in me!
