Sailing into the storm

It was rather rough crossing the Gironde estuary this afternoon. We left Royan in autumn sunshine, but we could see the storm clouds blowing in from the Atlantic over at Le Verdon. Shortly after taking this photo, we had torrential rain, hailstones and lightning.
We are now installed in our chalet and it is mild and sunny again!
