Sun Day

Today is one of those days that choosing a photo is a dilemma. I took so many scenic ones and I pondered which one/s were the loveliest to look at. But I love the photo of the Manse where we have been staying - it’s picture-book. I love the waterfall at Kilt Rock for the sea and the waterfall itself. And I love the scene ahead of us as we drove down to church this morning.

And church was such a delight. A decent sized crowd, old and young, islanders and ‘outsiders’, friendly and smiley. The songs were psalms to familiar tunes and the sermon was pukka. And the icing on the cake (and there were iced cakes too) was family connections to one sister and my two brothers and warmth was overflowing.

I chatted for a long time with an 80-year old lady that I would love to have as a friend.

And our hosts showed us more of Skye this afternoon. Skye is No.2 island - Lewis is, apparently, No.1 island. :-)
