Winging It
Time to say goodbye to Spain and return back home to Scotland. The airport at Malaga is wonderful - large, bright and airy which gives it a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Oh and the shops are pretty damn good too! Had a drink with Tom and Kathy who I met whilst waiting at the check in but sadly we didn't get to sit together on the plane as it was the usual Ryanair free for all when we boarded. Anyway, I did manage to get a window seat beside the lovely Mary who had been visiting her son over Christmas and New Year and, when the drinks trolley arrived, I decided to have a white wine whilst she plumped for tea. A couple of sips into my drink, it became apparent that the plastic cup was leaking so there was a bit of a commotion whilst I tried to attract the attention of one of the stewards to get a new cup. Not long after my little drama, poor Mary managed to spill the whole contents of her rather large cup of hot, black tea over both her and me. I have to say it was more than a little hot and I was really worried that she may have burnt herself but she assured me she was okay. I felt so sorry for her as she was really embarrassed and I did my best to try and make light of the situation. About an hour later, she went to the toilet and when she came back she whispered to me that her knickers were still wet. I'm pretty sure she meant from the tea...................
Anyway, the image you see here is just as the plane had taken off. There are few things more exciting in my eyes than taking off and landing and I absolutely love it. I also managed to blag my way into the cockpit once we'd landed and was allowed to take some photos but they were all, sadly, very disappointing. Here's the best of a bad bunch. Thanks to Captain Mariusz for allowing me access. All in all, it was a great flight home and Ryanair (apart from the chaos at the beginning of the flight) you get 10 stars from me.
