Cleaning Up

Crews are still at work all over northeast Ohio, but especially in Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights where dozens of ancient trees came down in the September microburst.

This shot is from South Park (or was it West Park?) along one of the Shaker Lakes.  The trees are being auctioned off for their expensive timber.  The largest was a 300 year old chestnut, one of the few to survive the chestnut blight in the first half of the 1900s.  A high  steaming pile of free fresh mulch awaits anyone who can haul it away.  I wish I had a truck!

Wishing you all a good start to the new week.
