How hard can it be.....

...to choose curtain material for our lounge?

Answer....vistually feckin' impossible!!!

We have had the keys to this house for over a year and moved in just over 7 months ago and still there are no curtains in the lounge.

The trouble is we inherited a room that has a very expensive, deep gold coloured wallpaper and since replacing itwould mean replacing it with a cheaper
alternative we have tried our best to buy new soft furnishing to fit but it all unravels when it comes to the curtains. Nothing matches the bloody wallpaper!

Can you tell I'm a tad ftustrated by it?

I have lost count of the number of fabric samples we have looked at from various suppliers. In desperation D finally suggested I visit a little local interior design shop clever me made him think it was all his idea ;-) and I have to say they have been fab. They delivered a multitude of sample books before Christmas and left them with me to look at over the hols.

After gathering many opinions over the hols and a few arguments we have narrowed it down to these two fabrics. Well that was until I saw the price of one of them....£105 per square metre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF???? And we need 58 metres!!!!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! So that makes the decision rather simple then doesn't it?

Except David has just finally agreed that we really do need to change the wallpaper.

So, back to the first fabric book.......
