Canning Stock Route - Sunset Campfire

We're still ahead of that weather, but only just! You'll be able to see from the photo. But we haven't felt any rain yet.

We drove to Warakurna, and then on to the Giles Meteorological Station - the 2nd time this year for me. We had lunch at the junction of the Sandy Blight Road.

There was a dingo howling in the night, about 15m from my swagsite. One of the girls said it howled for 10 minutes - it did seem to go on and on for ages. After having dogs steal stuff out of my bag at Hermannsburg I was jittery about this dingo and couldn't go back to sleep. I think I handle earthquakes better! I did measure how far away its footprints were and yes, 15m was about it.
