25 Against 99

A big kid and a BIG kid,
squaring off on the line.
One in black, and one in white...
it's twenty-five vs. ninety-nine.

I could put myself in Merrick's head...
he thought..."OH ME! OH MY!
This player is a head taller than me...
HOW DO I BLOCK THIS GUY?"

Our team out-manned the team in white,
many times we crossed the goal line.
I wonder if Merrick feels beat-up...
from the battle of 25-99.

Merrick was upset that he didn't get any tackles (we have to work on that), but...to his credit...he mostly kept #99 away from our quarterback...as our team scored 5 touchdowns.

I felt bad for the other team. They only had 1 player on the sidelines, so all of their kids had to play EVERY down. Even at 8 years old...that tires you out.
