Normal service has been resumed...

Great excitement this morning as R returned Lola from her mini holiday with him and his family.  She had a great time.  She really adores them and they her.  R told D that he thinks she is the most amazing dog and that she is beautiful inside and out.  That brought a lump to my throat.  Always lovely to know that others love her as much as we do.  I am a proud Doggy Mamma :-))

The focus of today was a visit from our good friend Jude, who's home on her annual visit from Australia.

She arrived just after midday armed with an array of goodies, including a bottle of Unicorn Gin Liqueur, which is new to me.  

After a very brief catch up we headed to our local favourite deli cafe for lunch, and continued our catch up. As ever Jude was full of hilarious stories, told with great aplomb and my sides were sore from laughing by the end of our time together.  

Always sad to say goodbye to Jude but looking forward to seeing her again next year.  

And leading on from our leisurely afternoon, we've had a leisurely evening.  After our lovely lunch there was no need to make dinner, just a light dinner, Strictly and a perfectly balanced G&T thanks to my wonderful D.

With him and Lola home, normal service has been resumed and all is well with the world :-)))
