Often the bridesmaid
Up and logged on in time to form part of M’s campaign to get Glastonbury tickets for next year. Despite a large number of people hitting refresh on multiple devices from multiple locations, his group of 6 were unsuccessful.
He came home in time to hand over the Mini so that we could head off to Oxfordshire to pick up H and K from a friend’s wedding where H had been a bridesmaid. Posh venue - Eynsham Hall. Then off to the village in search of food. The restaurant that C had researched was closed. The first pub that we tried didn’t do food. The second had an absent chef. The next did food and had a chef but was expecting a large party and couldn’t fit us in for two hours. We ended up at a really nice cafe.
Then H took us to a charity shop that was somehow open. I bought books and CDs, H bought a handbag - decanting the contents of her current handbag and handing it over to me for repairs.
We then took H and K into Oxford for an hour’s exploring before they caught the train to London andvthe Eurostar.
Nice afternoon.
In the meantime, M had lunch with Mum and then took a train to Stafford. Instead of London. :-)
