The Gulls Rule The Beach

It was so cold this morning in Brisbane! 13C and wet too. The overnight rain was welcome though over too soon, given the extreme drought conditions.

It's unusual to see no humans at all at South Bank pools, but apart from the lifeguard (in red on the other side of the pool) this bit of the world belonged to the Silver Gulls.
