Mr Kipling
Two guinea pig blips in a row, but sometimes it can't be helped; they need to be blipped.
It was another astonishingly mild day and I didn't even need a jacket on the cycle commute. There were no lorries today, thank goodness, but the schools were back so there were plenty of traffic jams around West Norwood and Dulwich. Luckily, I slipped past them without much faffing. Greendale (the cycleway between Dulwich and Camberwell) was the busiest I've seen it, which is great in one way (more cyclists, the better), but bad in another way since the final part of Greendale is a b*gger of a climb and I'd rather not have other cyclists hear or see me puffing up it. On the return commute, there were enough cyclists to fill the bus lane over Waterloo Bridge and we very much had right of way on the junction between Portland Road and Albany Road - it's usually a bit of a scramble since the cyclists need to be in the near lane (of a three-lane road) to turn right at the end. This time, there were seven cyclists in the ATS and there's no way the car behind could undertake (which is what drivers normally do on that junction, despite them not gaining any time due to the traffic light system). I saw two foxes on Greendale on the route home, too. I think they were quite young (teenagers?) since they were small, but they had marvellously bushy tails.
It was the first Feast meeting of the year and there were a fair number of us there. The outreach projects are going well with the community and there are a few exciting projects in the mix, including a design revamp with a design agency. Whoop!
