Poorly

After a very unsettled sleepless night with Mack which we thought might be due to wind or colic, we decided to check his temperature this morning.

Alarmingly, it was 39.2. A phonecall to nhs24 for advice was made and before we knew it we were whisked away in an ambulance to WGH.

He's been admitted to the paediatric ward and blood results have shown that he has a septic infection. Now on various antibiotics, IV fluids , oxygen, monitors etc.

Need to wait 48 hours to get blood culture results to identify source of infection and treat it more specifically.

What a day.
