A ride in Eton

My chronicle of a cycling tour along the river Thames.  It was in 1998, but I wrote it some years later and I took this pic even later.
It all was because during the Olympic games I saw Dortney Lake on television, and then I remembered the day I went past Dortney Common, time before the works for this lake had started, with the bike my friend John had lent me. And then I opened my chronicle notebook and took this pic, just to say ' I have been there, I saw it with my own eyes, and I was riding a bike. And it was a great day.'
