Birth and death of the city

Before a great lunch and catch up with a friend, I wandered in the Merchant City and Strathclyde Uni today, partly to see if there was any new street art. I hadn't seen this before, and really liked the contrast of the tender image celebrating new life with the derelict buildings nearby. In doing some research to find out who the artist was (Smugone), discovered that it depicts an interpretation of St Enoch (Teneu) and her son St Mungo (Kentigern), who once her grew up founded the city of Glasgow.
