Funny field fungi

These fungi are growing around the base of a tree on Bruntsfield links. I doubt that they are edible...

I completed my Thursday teaching marathon as usual, then held a PhD supervision, and then started the prep for next Thursday (again). We're already a third of our way through the module. Just eight more weeks to go.
