Meet “Tosh” *Special Attention Mr. B*

This past Sunday we adopted a new kitty.
We’ve kept her isolated from Sammy and today is really the first day the two of them have been formally introduced and it’s gone as well as we could hope, so far anyway.
Tosh was found living wild, brought to a shelter,and was originally going to be part of the TNR program. A man that lives in our town fosters shelter cats with the idea of finding them good forever homes. We recently contacted him to find out if he had a real sweet cuddle buddy in his brood and he suggested Tosh.
As you can see, someone at the shelter got a bit overzealous with the identifying ear tip clip. They ended up hacking off half her ear.
We had our vet check her out Monday and she received a fully clean bill of health. They estimate her age to be in the 2-3 year old range.

Now comes the part about her name.
The shelter came up with highly original name of “Blackie”. The foster guy renamed her “Mystic”.
I know Blipfoto’s own Mr. Broon has a wonderful cat named “Tosh”. I had that in mind when we decided to change her name.
But also, one of all time favorite UK crime drama TV shows is “Shetland”, which features a terrific female detective, Alison “Tosh” Mcintosh, so Tosh it is!
We also think she has already learned her new name.
