Souvenirs of Shetland

One of things I brought back from Shetland, as well as plenty of wool, were a pair of gloves boards.  When you've finished knitting mitts or gloves you put them on the boards to shape them.  The boards have separate thumbs, so you can use them or not.

I finished knitting these hand warmers on the ferry home.  They were a trial pair, next time I shall make the body longer, but I enjoyed knitting them and they make a change from hats!
